How I Love 3 Day Weekends
In case you didn’t know already, I have my Fridays off. Now, if you have any idea of my commitment to laziness you can imagine that this plays huge factor and allows me contribute countless more hours towards my lost cause. Basically, my week goes by each second at a time, and not a second faster (that only makes sense, doesn’t it?). However, once 2:30pm comes around on a Thursday afternoon, I am officially done class until 10:30 Monday morning (note: times may vary depending on my state of mind and class attendance;)). Since most weekends I go home to North Bay to spend time with my Jilly <3, I’m rarely caught on campus for the duration of the days most students live for (I suppose I live for them too, but only so I fit in ;)). Anyways, this weekend I unfortunately found myself being unable to go home (although now that I think about it, it’s not that I’m unable, it’s just that I didn’t…)…anyways, basically I’ve been kicking around residence all weekend. To be honest, it’s the first weekend I’ve been here in a few months at least, and let me just say…it sucks! There’s nothing to do here! Yes, people drink and get wasted, but I can do that whenever I want, and to be totally honest I like to think I’m a bit more mature and past that point that I don’t need to do that to feel accepted. Anyways, on top of the lack of things to do, there’s also (and much more depressingly) a much bigger lack of food! What with my food mostly purchasing via my meal card, I’m unable to buy food on the weekends (as the cafeteria employees are much too lazy to work on a weekend, God forbid). Anyways, this unfortunate situation forces me to spend real money on real food, which I am completely against at this point in time (that’s a rant I’ll have to leave for another day). (more…)
